8 Foods To Enjoy During Sex
Here's How To Bring Food Into The Bedroom

 Originally published on Askmen.com

If there are two things that men love more than anything, it's eating and having sex — some, like Costanza, even enjoy doing them together. And if all men could only do those things simultaneously, life would truly be grand. Lucky for you, today's tip centers around incorporating victual delights into bedroom romps with your woman.

Now before I jump into this banana split of fun, there are a couple of things you must keep in mind first:

Use finger foods: Whether it's fruit or anything else, make sure it's in bite-size form and not one big, food-in-your-teeth mess. You are, after all, trying to keep the mood sexual.

Keep it refreshing: The food you select should provide a refreshing feeling and not a stuffy one. So don't opt for chicken nuggets dipped in barbecue sauce as they tend to make one feel heavy, and possibly gassy, afterwards.

When it comes to lovemaking, it's quite difficult to begin eating while you're penetrating your woman — especially in a tricky position. So obviously, lying naked on the bed, kissing and licking each other occasionally, feeding each other, and incorporating sexual play into your fun is what I mean by "sex."

Now, on to the food I highly recommend for your sexual food fight:

1. Fruit
Cherries, strawberries, and red or green grapes are great add-ons to any sexual fun, but you can also incorporate more complex fruit like papaya, mango, grapefruits, and oranges. All the fruit should be washed, and besides the cherries, the rest should be prepared accordingly. Strawberries should be cut, washed and lightly sweetened with sugar; grapes should be separated from their stems; and the rest should be peeled and cut into bite-size form.

2. Whipped cream
The cliché of all sexual foods, whipped cream still serves up some great fun. Whip some into her mouth and watch her lick it all up. Or place some on her nipples and lick it all off slowly. Be warned, however: dairy products on the skin don't leave a very pleasant odor.

3. Syrups
Whether you're a big fan of chocolate, maple, banana, or strawberry syrup, this liquid concoction can make a mediocre night an incredibly memorable one. The sheets might get destroyed, but chances are that you and she will end up licking areas of each other you've never ventured onto (or into) before.

4. Chocolate
In the spirit of syrup, chocolate is a welcome treat before, during and after sex. Whether you opt for the almond-covered variety or just plain old milk chocolate, placing a piece in your mouth and gliding it down her warm body will definitely make the night sweeter and more interesting.

5. Oysters
Ah, the rumored aphrodisiac. Oysters are an acquired taste, no doubt, but for some, this seafood provides a zinc boost, which ultimately leads to longer, stronger sex. And watching your woman shuck might get you more excited than you think. Just make sure she's fond of them first.

6. Popsicles
The first time I ever used Popsicles in my sexual endeavors, I knew that the phallic shape would instantly lead to greater things. I made my woman suck on me and the Popsicle simultaneously, she made me suck on it to show her what I like, I put it inside of her (it melted instantly), and ultimately, it was one of the best experiences I ever had. Make and melt some today.

7. Water
Okay, so it's not exactly food, but keep yourself quenched anyway, or opt for the iced form of H2O and keep her nipples erect the whole night. Ice can be used to arouse her senses — glide it down her back, between her thighs, around her navel, or tap it lightly onto her clitoris. If you think you can handle it, let her put a cube in her mouth and show your penis what it feels like to endure hot and cold at the same time.

8. Alcohol
Whether you want to do body shots or just drink the night away and indulge in sloppy, passionate sex, alcohol can provide some mad fun. Pour some of your favorite liquor (try to be a little more creative than beer) onto her belly button and lick it off. Or enjoy some tequila body shots and kiss passionately when it comes to biting into the lemon slice that she's holding between her teeth.
before the sex ends

There are plenty of foods that you can use to enhance the sexual mood, and the aforementioned ones can be used in conjunction with sexual play, or even as preludes to it.

But before I go, here's a helpful hint: Invest in some baby wipes in order to keep the area and your bodies as neat as possible (if you prefer cleaner sex). The last thing you want is to literally be stuck to your woman and have to rip all the hair off your chest in order to get up.

Until next time, play with your food and eat until she's satisfied.

A Spoonful of Sofrito: Signs You're Eating Pre-Made Food At A Restaurant!

A Spoonful of Sofrito: A pinch of advice that will add a lot of flavor to your life.

Signs You're Eating Pre-Made Food At A Restaurant!

 Sofrito Lovers,

As you should all know, I hate fast food and chain restaurants.  It's not because I'm bougie or a snob, it's just because I like homemade delicious food.  When I go out to eat I want to eat food that was freshly prepared and made with a certain degree of artistry and care!

Fast food and most chain restaurant serve you reheated pre-cooked frozen food that has been chemically treated with preservatives and all sorts of other carcinogens!

I want an amazing dining experience with food that's been made with pride, respect for the ingredients, and the intention of making the customer happy.  Let's be real, you never get that at McDonald's or AppleBees

Check out the video posted below from Mashed and learn the tell tale signs that you're food isn't fresh!  Watch, learn, and then go taste for yourself!  ¡Buen provecho!

A Spoonful of Sofrito: What Would They Eat In "Black Panther"?

A Spoonful of Sofrito: A pinch of advice that will add a lot of flavor to your life.

What Would They Eat In "Black Panther"?

Sofrito Lovers,

I haven't seen The Black Panther movie yet, because I like going to see super hero movies when the annoying super fans and Johnny-come-latelies have already gone.

I'm a huge Black Panther comic book fan and have admired this character for years. I've studied Wakandan culture, technology, and other amazing comic book goodies, but the one area I've never come across was Wakandan food.  I can't believe that stupid foodie ass never thought about what they eat in Wakanda.  That's why when I came across this Tasty video about what food would be like in Wakanda I had to share it!

Check out the delicacies of this fictional, yet grounded in African reality and culture, African nation!  Go taste for yourself!  ¡Buen Provecho!  Wakanda Forever!

A Spoonful of Sofrito: The Best Desserts in NYC for $3 and Under!

A Spoonful of Sofrito: A pinch of advice that will add a lot of flavor to your life.

The Best Desserts in NYC for $3 and Under!

Sofrito Lovers,

I don't care how juicy the steak is, how fluffy the rice turned out, or how crunchy the veggies are: Dessert is the best part of any meal!

But, I don't want to go broke paying for a delicious post-dinner confection, and honestly, I shouldn't have to. The geniuses at Seriouseats.com have compiled a nice list of places for you to satiate that sweet tooth, without breaking the bank!

You guys know me, I love a cheap eats list!  Take a look at the article below and then go get your sweets on!  Maybe, I'll see you at one of these hot spots!

Go taste for yourself!  ¡Buen Provecho!

In a city where a single cupcake can set you back five dollars, it's more important than ever to remember a basic point: Dessert doesn't have to be expensive to be good.

Not to knock the work of talented pastry chefs in New York, but for our everyday sugar rush, we're looking for something less glitzy; two or three bucks would be nice. And these days it's amazing what you can get on the cheap. This list below includes some staple cheap eats, but also touches on sweets from high-end bakeries that usually charge much more. Want the fine French pastry for cheaper than a croissant, or an easy snack from a vaunted Daniel Boulud spot? These budget sweets are excellent introductions to the more pricey items at the city's most renowned bakeries.

We don't pretend this list is comprehensive. But we can say that the 15 sweets below—all $3 and under at time of publication—are excellent examples of their forms, each far more satisfying than many other sweets at twice the price.

A Spoonful of Sofrito: Harlem Chicken Spot nominated for major award!

A Spoonful of Sofrito: A pinch of advice that will add a lot of flavor to your life.

Harlem Chicken Spot nominated for major award!

Sofrito Lovers,

Most people have no idea what the James Beard Foundation is and why it's so important to the foodie world.  To keep it simple, the foundation is like the Academy Awards of the culinary world and their Beards are the Oscars.

Usually, their nominations list is full of bougie shi shi foo foo downtown eateries, but this year they chose Chef Charles Gabriel, of Charles' Country Pan Fried Chicken in Harlem, to be on their Best Chef: New York Semifinalist list.

This is incredible! I think this nomination is an amazing boon to the uptown culinary food scene.  Could some folks at the foundation finally be open minded to food north of 96th St.?  Maybe!  I've never been to Charles, but I've heard about it for a long time!  I think I'm going to have to check it out for myself!  They deserve a hearty congratulations!  Check out the Eater.com below for more on their nomination!

I hope to see you there!  Go taste for yourself! ¡Buen provecho!

James Beard Awards Surprises Include a Low-Key Harlem Fried Chicken Destination

Charles’ Country Pan Fried Chicken is not like past JBF award nominees by Serena Dai Feb 15, 2018, 1:27pm EST

The James Beard Foundation announced the semifinalists for its restaurant and chef awards on Thursday, and per usual, New York had a fairly strong showing of candidates. Most of the nominees — like Alex Stupak of Empellon and Jody Williams at Buvette — are repeat contenders on the long list, but the 2018 nominees for New York had a few wild cards, too.

For one, Harlem destination Charles’ Country Pan Fried Chicken and its chef Charles Gabriel landed on the Best Chef: New York City semifinalist list.
