11 Healthy Diet Tips to Keep You On Track All Year

11 Healthy Diet Tips to Keep You On Track All Year

Sofrito Lovers,

For many of us that struggle with our weight, a New Year heralds in the start of new eating habits and exercise routines- I hate the word DIET!  Some of us may fail and some of us succeed.  If you need some tips to help you be on #TeamSuccess, then check out the Chowhound article below!

I've incorporated some of these habits and they work, as long as you work them.  We all know that weight loss, maintaining a healthy weight, or changing our eating habits is like having an extra stressful full time job, but once you get some of these tricks into your routine you'll see the benefits.  You'll also look and feel great!

Check out the article and start the revolution!  It takes time, patience, forgiveness (yes, you will cheat), flexibility, and persistence.

Go taste (some veggies) for yourself!  ¡Buen Provecho!

LES is truly one of NYC's most interesting, dynamic, and delicious neighborhoods!  Check out the tour information below and indulge yourself.

New Year's Good Luck "Pasta Fazool" (Pasta e Fagioli)

New Year's Good Luck "Pasta Fazool" (Pasta e Fagioli)

Sofrito Lovers,

According to Chef John, of Food Wishes, it's a proven unscientific fact that eating pork, beans, or greens at the beginning of a new year will bring you great luck-I, wholeheartedly, agree!

And what better way to guarantee a lucky new year, then to eat a dish that features all three ingredients?  That's why I've posted this awesome DIY cooking video for Pasta Fazool (Pasta E Fagiloi).

Known for being the ultimate Italian comfort food, Pasta Fazool is a delicious pasta based soup or stew (there's some contention) perfect for these cold January days.  It's simple, hearty, and delicious!

So, if you're interested in having an amazing new year and awesome dinner as well, then try the recipe below!

Kids Try New Year's Traditions from Around the World

Kids Try New Year's Traditions from Around the World

Sofrito Lovers,

If you think about it, a lot of our New Year's traditions involve food!  We eat grapes and plates of black eyed peas for good luck or toast with wine or champagne to a year of health, wealth and good tidings.  Depending on the country and culture, food can be the foundation upon which a new year of prosperity is built.

End the decade off right with a nice laugh!  Watch these adorable little kiddies, from HiHo Kids, try a few delicious international New Year's food traditions!  It's heart warming, hilarious, and really interesting!

Go taste for yourself!  ¡Buen Provecho!
