Despite its name, this dish isn't a dessert; it's a savory side dish.  You can pair it with any protein, salad, or use it in place of cornbread or a dinner roll.  I paired it with a spicy Jambalaya and it was a wonderful sweet contrast to the Cajun-spiced stew.
