The weather's nice, the people are hungry, and the time is right! Let the outdoor food markets begin!

One of the major benefits of nice weather is being able to dine al fresco and enjoy the gorgeous sites of our city while enjoying some delicious fare. Check out the post below from Eater.com and plan out your first Spring market visit!

I know I am!  I guarantee you'll catch me in some park one of these weekends, reading my X-Men comic books while I eat some delicious fish tacos!

Abuela Mami Unboxing!

Sofrito Lovers,
I'm in a foodie love triangle!  ¡Que novela! I'm in love with a Cubana named Jenny AND her Abuela Mami subscription series! Okay, I'm being super dramatico, I know, but you must watch her video below!
Jenny, a Cuban American YouTube sensation, hosts a monthly Abuela Mami unboxing on her YouTube channel with the flair, hilarity, and cultural pride that only a Miami-born Cubana can have!

For those not in the know, Abuela Mami is a monthly subscription box that features an assortment of delicious Cuban/Caribbean Latino goodies!

After watching a few of these videos, I am totally sold on Abuela Mami and a huge Jenny fan-check out her YouTube Channel!  I've subscribed to her channel and I'm planning on getting my subscription next pay check!
I dare you to watch these unboxings and not fall in love with Jenny and Abuela Mami! Watch, laugh your ass off, and then go taste for yourself!  ¡Buen Provecho!

A Spoonful of Sofrito: Easy Ham and Cheese Scones Recipe!

A Spoonful of Sofrito: A pinch of advice that will add a lot of flavor to your life!

Easy Ham and Cheese Scones Recipe!

Sofrito Lovers,

If you're looking for something to make Easter breakfast a little extra special, then check out the post below for these ham and cheese scones.

Usually, I'm not a fan of scones because of their texture and their dryness, but when I was served these babies, I fell in love.  Light, fluffy, and packed with ham and cheesy goodness, they're so delicious!  I highly recommend you try them out, especially for a special event like Easter Sunday breakfast!

Check out the recipe below, make, them, and taste for yourself!  ¡Buen Provecho!

Easy Ham and Cheese Scones Recipe

If your fridge is stuffed with leftover ham after the holidays, these super-simple scones are all you need to polish it off. Studded with pockets of tender ham and gooey cheese, with savory bites of scallion throughout, they're a perfect addition to any brunch menu. But don't forget: Only a handful of cheese goes in the dough itself! The rest is reserved to sprinkle on top, giving these scones a cheesy, golden crust.

Sesame St. Lollipop Cookies!

Sofrito Lovers,

I apologize for the lack of posts last week, but a combination of a cold, unforeseen work stress and fatigue kept me from blogging my heart out, but I am back!

The minute I saw the post below I knew I had to share it with my sofrito lovers! These Sesame St. Lollipop cookies are nothing less than amazing!  How can sugar cookie dough and jolly ranchers not be a hit?

Watch the video below from Emmyadeinjapan, one of my favorite YouTube channels, and learn how to make these incredible treats.  I'm planning on preparing a few for my after-school program; I know they'll love them!

Watch, enjoy, and as always, go taste for yourself!  ¡Buen Provecho!
