A Spoonful of Sofrito: REVIEW of Taqueria Diana!

A Spoonful of Sofrito: A pinch of advice that will add a lot of flavor to your life.

REVIEW of Taqueria Diana!

Sofrito Lovers,

I'm infatuated with my newest foodie blog find: The Infatuation! The Infatuation is a wonderful food blog, which features articles, restaurant reviews, and city guides to direct you to some of the best places to eat in NYC.

The brief, yet informative, restaurant reviews are my favorite section of the site! Posted below, is a review of Taqueria Diana, in the East Village; I'm going to visit it either today or Sunday!  I'll let you know if I liked it or not!

Check out the post below and take a good look at The Infatuation website! I hope you develop an Infatuation...for good food!  Forgive me for the piss poor pun!

Check it out and go taste for yourself!  ¡Buen Provecho!

Taqueria Diana

Taqueria Diana isn't really a taqueria. Or at least it shouldn't primarily be known as such. The name is factually accurate - tacos are indeed made here. But in spirit, it's not a taqueria. This is a temple to the holy San Francisco burrito. Pray before it, lest you be forsaken.

Too often in this city do we come across lost souls - those who worship false idols, elevating mediocre tacos to heavenly status. And yet they know nothing of the glory of a true burrito from the West, filled with al pastor and guacamole and unconditional love. To those people we say, if you cannot make it to the promised land, let Diana be your New York shepherd. For it is she who will make you a true believer.
